About the position

The Part-Time HR Representative will play a crucial role in managing the human resources functions within the doctor's office across multiple locations in Palm Beach County, including Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Lake Worth. This position is designed for individuals who are looking to work part-time, with an expected commitment of 15-20 hours per week, offering flexibility in scheduling. The HR Representative will report directly to the Practice Owner or Practice Administrator and will be responsible for a variety of HR tasks that are essential for maintaining a positive and compliant workplace environment. Key responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, where the HR Representative will assist in posting job openings, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews. They will conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate in-person interviews with management, as well as prepare offer letters and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions. In terms of employee relations, the HR Representative will serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures, assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts, and promote a positive workplace culture through various employee engagement initiatives. The role also encompasses benefits administration, where the HR Representative will assist employees with benefits enrollment and related inquiries, coordinate with benefits providers for timely processing, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employee benefits programs. Compliance is another critical aspect of this position, as the HR Representative will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, maintain accurate and confidential employee records, and assist in conducting workplace safety training and compliance audits as needed. Additionally, the HR Representative will support payroll and attendance processes by collecting and verifying employee timecards, tracking attendance and leave requests, and ensuring proper documentation. Administrative duties include updating and maintaining employee personnel files, assisting in updating the employee handbook, and supporting office management in various HR projects and tasks as assigned. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
