About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at MartinFed is responsible for providing specialized operational, administrative, and personnel management support to the Intelligence Community. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior military and civilian personnel. The position is based in the Columbia, MD area and involves a variety of HR processes, including retirement and recruitment support, while ensuring HR core competencies are effectively executed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance on military correspondence style and composition.
  • Develop formats and templates for HR documentation.
  • Update master suspense and tracking logs.
  • Provide customer service support for HR functions and duties.
  • Assist in ensuring HR core competencies are properly supported and executed.
  • Perform various HR processes including retirement and recruitment support.
  • Update Army Human Resources systems with accurate data.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies.
  • Work with Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Requirements

  • Active TS clearance (SCI Eligibility Preferred); may require CI Poly after starting.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in HR or administrative support.
  • Ten years of military/government work experience related to military and civilian administrative and HR support.
  • 5+ years' experience composing military correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Excellent writing skills and collaborative work style.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience in developing SOPs and Policies.
