About the position

As a Human Resource Specialist at Clarion Security LLC, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR department. This includes overseeing hiring processes, administering employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The role emphasizes the importance of diversity and inclusion within the workplace, aiming to create a supportive environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff.
  • Administer pay, benefits, and leave for employees.
  • Enforce company policies and practices.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and assessments.
  • Recruit, source, and interview qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, particularly WinTeam and Paycom, is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, and employee relations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service-related fields.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and organizational development.
