About the position

The Human Resources Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the HR function within the Walton County School District. This position is responsible for managing HR data needs, including processing new hires, terminations, and staffing changes, while ensuring accurate input and analysis of employee data. The specialist will work closely with the HR Coordinator to facilitate various HR operations and assist with special projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the HR Coordinator in staffing recommendations and new hire processes.
• Utilize business systems to process new hires, terminations, transfers, and staffing changes.
• Compile data for reporting needs and communicate with staff regarding HR policies and protocols.
• Assist with onboarding, certification, and departmental needs.
• Provide data support during special projects, including CPI reporting and tenure contracts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Human Resources or a related field.
• Some college education preferred.
• Experience working with Munis or other HR business systems preferred.
