About the position

Libsyn is seeking a proactive and organized HR Specialist who will serve as the first line of defense for employee HR questions, providing exceptional service and support throughout the employee lifecycle. This role involves managing onboarding, maintaining accurate records in the HRIS, supporting benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, and HRIS issues, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing onboarding files, and ensuring the smooth integration of new hires.
  • Manage and update employee records within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate timely completion of employee training, tracking progress, and reporting completion statuses to the HR team.
  • Support benefits administration by assisting with enrollments, answering employee questions, and processing benefit changes.
  • Conduct regular audits of HRIS and employee files to ensure compliance, accuracy, and data security.
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date HR documentation and employee records, ensuring compliance with retention and privacy policies.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures to improve efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
  • Provide reporting and HR metrics for leadership, offering insights into employee engagement, training completion, and compliance status.
  • Support HR team initiatives, including employee engagement programs, recognition events, and surveys to help foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role, preferably supporting a multi-state workforce.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach to handling employee inquiries.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, and familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with HRIS software systems, with experience in Paycor being a plus.
