Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to source, screen, and select qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and other recruitment events.
  • Promote a place of belonging for all employees in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns with timely and effective resolutions, assisting with complaints or issues as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of Human Resources forms, documents, correspondence, manuals, and other necessary materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct orientations for new hires and facilitate employee training sessions as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality in administrative and programmatic matters, sharing information only with authorized individuals.
  • Assist Payroll & Benefits Specialist in reconciling bi-monthly payroll and answer general payroll questions for internal customers.
  • Stay informed about changes in labor laws, Federal Head Start regulations, and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR metrics in compliance with senior management reporting.
  • Work closely with other HR team members to streamline workflows and enhance the overall HR function.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related Human Resource field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • One or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Possession of HR certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.
