The Human Resources Specialist role is a vital position responsible for managing various HR functions within the organization. This includes overseeing HRIS maintenance, payroll processing, timekeeping, leave administration, benefits management, recruitment, and onboarding of new hires. The specialist will ensure that the HRIS and payroll systems are functioning effectively and that data integrity is maintained. Additionally, the role involves leading the annual benefits open enrollment process, addressing employee benefit inquiries, and managing payroll activities for approximately 90 employees on a bi-weekly basis. This includes payroll data entry, verification of payroll activities, and training leaders on the timekeeping system. In addition to HR responsibilities, the position requires office management duties. The specialist will ensure that the facility meets employee needs, manage vendor relations, and provide executive administrative support to global executives. This includes coordinating meetings, preparing reports and presentations, and managing the logistics for onsite visitors. The specialist will also be involved in HR metrics reporting, leave management, and managing workers' compensation claims. The role requires a proactive approach to anticipate changes in schedules and develop adjusted plans accordingly. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required, along with experience in maintaining confidentiality and knowledge of relevant employment laws.
