The HR Specialist will also manage access items and tools for both new and existing staff, such as email credentials, badges, and keys, and will perform employment verifications as needed. Additionally, the HR Specialist will play a significant role in compliance and risk management by maintaining current data for direct care staff licenses, certifications, and training requirements. This includes supporting workers' compensation processes and leave management. The position also involves tracking the hiring process, from offers to background checks and onboarding, in partnership with the HR Director to assess candidate suitability for employment. The HR Specialist will ensure that all new hire paperwork is complete and processed, including I-9 documentation, and will collect and maintain employee competency and training records. Furthermore, the HR Specialist will communicate HR policies and procedures to employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
