About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at The Mayflower at Winter Park is responsible for managing key HR functions to ensure a positive experience for both new hires and current employees. This role involves onboarding, HRIS system management, compliance, and employee support, all within a supportive and family-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the pre-hire process, including background checks and orientation for new hires.
• Utilize Paylocity and other HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee profiles and track documentation.
• Keep employee records organized and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees' HR-related questions, providing guidance on policies and benefits.
• Support the HR team with clerical tasks, including document preparation and scheduling appointments.
• Assist with planning and executing employee events to enhance morale.
• Provide backup support for payroll functions and assist with resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Perform regular audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
• Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Paylocity
• Strong organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Mid-level administrative experience in HR
• Time management skills
• Associate's degree (preferred)
