About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Holman Enterprises is responsible for managing various HR processes, including the I-9 documentation process, handling HR inquiries, and providing administrative support for HR projects. This role ensures compliance with employment laws, manages unemployment claims, and supports employee events, all while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the I-9 process and ensure timely collection of required documents from new hires.
  • Oversee the HR vanity inbox, addressing inquiries or forwarding them to the appropriate HR team.
  • Handle physical mail, ensuring timely review, addressing, and distribution.
  • Support HR projects and programs, maintaining documentation and tracking.
  • Collaborate with IT to generate reports and compile data for HR projects.
  • Manage unemployment claims, coordinating with local Business Partners for necessary information.
  • Provide administrative support for employee events and ensure timely updates of employment law posters in New Jersey.
  • Assist in administrative auditing of various business units, including COVID processes and employee training completion rates.
  • Accurately file and store employee-related documents in OnBase and/or Workday.
  • Provide general HR-related support to the business and assist with project work as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in administrative services or related fields.
  • Proficient in MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with office technology and equipment (computers, scanners, printers, phone systems).
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional education, certifications, or experience in HR or related fields.
  • Experience with Workday.
