About the position

The Human Resources Specialist position at the Office of Human Resources (OHR) involves providing strategic management of the SEC's human capital. The role includes advising senior staff on executive resource matters, leading special assignments, and developing policies for executive-level employees. This position is critical in ensuring compliance with federal regulations and enhancing the effectiveness of human capital programs within the agency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal adviser to the CHCO, DCHCO, and AD for Talent Acquisition on executive resource matters.
• Consider and report the effects of new legislation and agency policies on executive staffing and performance.
• Lead special assignments and studies that impact senior executive staffing and development.
• Provide leadership and guidance on executive resource activities and issues, including special employment categories.
• Advise on policy development and implementation strategies for human capital programs.
• Provide analytical and advisory support in managing programs for executive-level employees.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level managing human capital programs with executive level involvement.
• Experience developing and implementing policies and standard operating procedures for executive level employees.
• Ability to communicate and work with high-level agency officials on human capital programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in federal human resources management.
