About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Clyde Companies plays a crucial role in providing effective HR support to various internal departments. This position is responsible for a range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll accuracy, and compliance with employment laws, all aimed at enhancing the overall employee experience within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to recruiting activities by posting jobs, tracking applicants, and communicating with candidates.
  • Coordinate with departments to drive the seamless and effective onboarding of new employees.
  • Work closely with payroll to ensure accuracy of weekly payroll.
  • Maintain employee files and relevant employment documents in accordance with existing legal standards and company processes.
  • Complete wage, employment verification and unemployment requests.
  • Liaise with employees and managers regarding FMLA administration.
  • Maintain the safety and integrity of the company through coordination of random drug testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of core principles and practices of human resources.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective work relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
