About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Femwell Group Health is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent for the organization. This full-time position operates in a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that the essential duties are met. The role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but requires collaboration with department managers to draft detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria. The specialist will serve as a partner with hiring managers to create effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that lead to client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing the full life cycle of recruitment, which encompasses posting job openings, sourcing candidates, prescreening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and facilitating the onboarding process. The specialist will also be involved in developing and maintaining programs aimed at workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning. Additionally, the role requires participation in college job fairs and recruiting sessions to enhance the organization's visibility and attract potential candidates. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to recruitment. They will be familiar with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the hiring process. Proficiency in applicant-tracking software and Microsoft Office products is essential, with a preference for candidates who have experience with Workday. The position also emphasizes the importance of creating a positive onboarding experience for new hires and supporting initiatives that build employee morale within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Serve as a partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to influence the recruiting process.
  • Recruit full-time, part-time, temporary, and intern personnel.
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment including posting, sourcing, prescreening, scheduling, background checks, references, offers, and onboarding.
  • Complete the hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start.
  • Oversee job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews and prepare interview questions and other hiring materials.
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers during the offer process, recommending salary ranges and start dates.
  • Support the new hire onboarding program to ensure a positive experience for new hires.
  • Coordinate and lead new hire orientation.
  • Develop and maintain effective programs for workforce retention and succession planning.
  • Participate in Events Committee to implement initiatives that build employee morale.
  • Work closely with the HR Team to ensure efficiencies and streamline processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Conduct exit interviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least five years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Workday proficiency is highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
