About the position

The Human Resources Specialist will support the Agency's Personnel Security Program by developing and implementing policies, managing sensitivity designations, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with security standards. This role is critical in ensuring personnel are designated at appropriate national security sensitivity and risk levels, reflecting the potential impact of their duties on the Agency's security and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Agency HR division to ensure accurate sensitivity designations in payroll/personnel systems.
  • Draft Position Risk and Sensitivity Level directives, policies, and procedures in compliance with OPM and DNI guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a database for managing position designation and suitability programs.
  • Create documentation to track employee investigations against position designations for compliance.
  • Develop a systematic risk assessment process for evaluating reciprocity for incoming contractors.
  • Prepare documentation outlining future budgeting and staff workload requirements related to position designation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in human resources, preferably six (6) years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal-level position risk and sensitivity level program best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of tasks related to position risk and sensitivity level management.
  • Experience in drafting and editing clear and concise documents such as reports and policies.
  • Expert-level oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to engage different audiences effectively.
  • Technical proficiency in identifying federal-level Position Risk and Sensitivity Level requirements.
