About the position

This position is located in the United States Mint, Office of the Director, Financial Directorate. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will manage resources and provide quality services to optimize the time, cost, and value of Human Resources processes and services that support the mission of the United States Mint's Human Resources Operations. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the HR functions align with the overall objectives of the Mint, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. In this capacity, you will be responsible for advising management on and overseeing position management and organizational development. You will provide human resources advisory services, oversee the Administrative Resource Center's functions, and support staffing efforts. Additionally, you will handle employee and labor relations, manage disputes, and provide technical representation. Your expertise will also be required in human resources development and responding to data information requests, ensuring that the Mint's HR operations are compliant with federal regulations and best practices. You will work closely with the Management Advisory Services Branch to address oversight and compliance matters, ensuring that all HR services provided by the Administrative Resources Center meet the required standards. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment that supports the Mint's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resources and provide quality services to optimize Human Resources processes and services.
  • Advise management on position management and organizational development.
  • Oversee human resources advisory services and Administrative Resource Center functions.
  • Support staffing efforts and manage employee and labor relations.
  • Handle disputes and provide technical representation in HR matters.
  • Respond to data information requests and ensure compliance with HR policies.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in HR management.
  • Experience in two or more of the following areas: Recruitment and Placement, Labor-Employee Relations, Position Management and Classification, Human Resources Advisory Services.
  • Ability to document experience in a resume, including place of employment, job title, and supervisor contact information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in federal HR processes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of compliance and oversight in HR services.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Vetting and FBI's Rap Back service.
