About the position

Sapphire Metal Finishing is seeking a part-time Human Resources Specialist to support its operations. This role involves advising management on HR policies, addressing employee concerns, and maintaining employee records. The position requires onsite work primarily during weekdays, with flexibility in scheduling. The HR Specialist will also play a key role in training employees on company policies and ensuring compliance with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on HR policies and issues.
• Serve as a conduit to management for employee concerns.
• Provide input on hiring, terminations, compensation, and benefits.
• Maintain employee records in the database and notify employees of benefit eligibility.
• Support the annual enrollment process for employee benefits.
• Provide training on handbook content, including harassment policy and attendance.
• Hold the team accountable for complying with safety training requirements.
• Possibly lead the safety committee.
• Assist in accident and harassment investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or 5 years of HR experience.
• Mid-level experience in human resources.
• Possession of a Federal Firearms License (FFL) is required.
