About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Radford University provides operational and programmatic support for human resources processes, focusing on data integrity and efficient business operations within employment services. Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for human resources processes and systems.
• Ensure data integrity and efficient functioning of business processes in employment services.
• Collaborate with HR team members to implement HR policies, practices, and procedures.
• Contribute to the overall goals and priorities of the Office of Human Resources.

Requirements

• Previous progressive Administrative and/or Human Resources experience.
• Good working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and regulations involving benefits, employment, and compensation.
• Advanced computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and ERP systems.
• Experience with data analysis is helpful.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality at all times.
• Exceptional customer service skills to respond to needs of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage interruptions while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated initiative in completing tasks and solving problems in a team setting.

Nice-to-haves

• SHRM-CP, PHR, and/or SPHR certification desired.
• Familiarity with Banner, PeopleAdmin, Cognos, and PMIS preferred.
• Experience in a Human Resources office in higher education or state government setting.
• Experience with processing I-9's and E-Verify.
