About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Chrysalis is responsible for supporting the HR department in various functions including recruitment, employee evaluations, training, and maintaining employee records. This role collaborates closely with the HR Associate Director and HR Director to enhance service delivery within the program, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire new employees
• Enter employee data into Paylocity
• Use Paylocity to ensure proper information is entered
• Manage employee corrective action
• Manage E-verify
• Ensure employees' training is completed
• Maintain employee records
• Manage employee benefits enrollment
• Oversee compliance with the policy and procedures manual
• Manage worker compensation insurance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated supervisory skills
• Ability to prioritize work and complete documentation accurately
• Understanding and management of personnel issues
• Computer skills

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of DSPD policies
• Good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations
• Good general writing skills
• Public relations skills in working with medical, professional, and state employees
• SHRM-CP certification preferred
