Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage confidential personnel records.
  • Handle clerical tasks such as writing correspondence and scheduling appointments.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job announcements and communicating with applicants.
  • Review and monitor office allocations to ensure adherence to the district's budget.
  • Process employment verifications and communicate information to payroll.
  • Operate fingerprinting equipment for new hires and follow up as needed.
  • Research, create, input, format, and organize relevant data for review by HR directors.
  • Answer routine questions and correspondence from staff independently.
  • Complete high volume of data entry with speed and accuracy.
  • Represent the school district professionally in interactions with various stakeholders.
  • Organize and assist in the orientation and processing of new employees.
  • Prepare new employee information for board agendas.
  • Make travel arrangements for select staff and organize administrative meetings.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and assist in scheduling interviews.
  • Collect employment information for onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Serve as a point person for new employee inquiries.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files to ensure compliance and completeness.
  • Assist with planning and execution of special events for the district.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an office setting (preferred).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in a public school setting (preferred).
  • Exceptional computer/software skills.
