About the position

The position involves performing a variety of basic personnel-related clerical duties associated with applicant screening, typing and filing, maintaining employment records, and basic functions relative to customer service. The role is essential in supporting the Human Resources department by ensuring compliance with relevant laws and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the facility's history, mission, services and organizational structure.
  • Assists in the development, evaluation, and utilization of recruiting resources for all positions.
  • Assists in maintaining a list of job descriptions for the Agency.
  • Assists in preparation of credentialing packets.
  • Makes suggestions for improvements as needed and according to changes in laws, federal requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Assists in research of unemployment claims.
  • Assists in maintaining the personnel, confidential, and credentialing files in accordance with acceptable recordkeeping guidelines and requirements.
  • Develops and maintains a purging system in accordance with recordkeeping requirements.
  • Maintains appropriate I-9 record retention.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred; at least 1 year of Human Resource experience can be substituted.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local registration relating to Human Resources, i.e. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA.
