About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at ProgressiveHealth will provide essential support to the HR Team and Director, focusing on various HR programs and procedures. This role involves collaboration with Central Operations and Remote Management teams to assist employees with HR tasks, including timekeeping, compliance tracking, and overall administration. The position emphasizes confidentiality, organization, and prioritization, contributing to a progressive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the accounting team to support timekeeping activities for payroll processing.
  • Capturing missing punches, PTO changes, and bonuses for payroll adjustments.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts for annual competency trainings and maintaining HRIS documentation.
  • Assisting with governmental reporting such as EEO-1 and affirmative action requirements.
  • Updating and maintaining trackers for staff licensure and vaccination expirations.
  • Supporting clinical operations with audits and ensuring accurate employee records.
  • Maintaining HR files and reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Aiding in the implementation and management of HRIS/ATS systems.
  • Assisting with planning special events and associate activities.
  • Conducting various research projects and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Public Relations, Human Resources, Marketing, or Healthcare Administration.
  • At least 2 years of human resources experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in physical and occupational therapy services.
  • Exceptional organization skills and self-motivation.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and problem-solve effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR procedures, policies, and federal/state laws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks efficiently.
  • High degree of professionalism in communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and databases.
