About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Public Consulting Group (PCG) plays a crucial role in supporting HR workforce planning and providing tactical HR support to enhance employee engagement and business results. This position involves collaborating with HR Business Partners and practice area line managers, facilitating new hire orientations, and ensuring compliance with HR practices while adapting to the changing needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR workforce planning support and guidance to HR Business Partners and line managers.
  • Acquire and analyze exit interview and transition data to recommend workforce plans to increase employee engagement.
  • Utilize knowledge of HR functions to provide tactical HR support.
  • Facilitate forums such as New Hire Orientation and small group settings.
  • Act as a liaison with other HR functions including Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and Recruiting.
  • Align HR programs with business needs and ensure compliance with HR practices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to HR discipline and a willingness to learn more.
  • Adapt to the changing needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years' HR Generalist experience with a proven track record modeling HR best practices.
  • Knowledge of standard HR operations and policies with the ability to follow established protocols and document new ones.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and approachability in a customer-focused environment.
  • Highly developed listening, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience facilitating small group and virtual discussions and presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the professional services industry is strongly preferred.
