About the position

The HR Specialist at Loro Piana will support the retail organization by managing HR projects and building collaborative partnerships with retail leaders. This role is action-oriented, focusing on attracting, engaging, and developing talent while ensuring a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement initiatives, and facilitating HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR administrative support to the retail population, acting as the primary point of contact for benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Support workplace investigations by conducting research, scheduling interviews, and reviewing recommendations.
  • Foster relationships with retail leadership to identify business needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Support the full-cycle recruitment process for retail positions across North America, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Facilitate a seamless onboarding process, including generating offer letters and conducting background checks.
  • Identify learning and development needs and coordinate relevant training programs.
  • Facilitate career development discussions and succession planning initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning among retail employees.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding benefits packages and provide assistance as needed.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Create a tracker for performance management and development follow-up activities.
  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining org charts and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
  • Support the budget and forecasting process to ensure compliance.
  • Track and analyze data regarding staffing, retention, turnover, and provide insights for talent discussions.
  • Create and distribute internal HR communications to ensure effective communication of HR initiatives and programs.
  • Lead and support various HR projects, including diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 2+ years of HR experience, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of HR and recruitment best practices.
  • Superior writing and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of fundamental HR practices including employment law, compensation, hiring, performance management, coaching, and employee relations.
