About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at CP Kelco will play a vital role in supporting the Atlanta Headquarters by managing various HR functions and processes. This position focuses on fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, providing expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will implement strategic initiatives to support the organization's growth and ensure efficient management of human capital assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct leadership and guidance for all HR activities in the Atlanta headquarters, including direct HR support for employees in the Atlanta Innovation Center.
  • Interfaces with other Americas, Asia, and European HR professionals as needed.
  • Acts as HR partner for local leaders and managers, providing coaching and guidance on performance and talent-related matters.
  • Supports employee growth by implementing and facilitating training initiatives that align with organizational objectives.
  • Fosters a positive work environment through proactive employee engagement and relations activities.
  • Interfaces with other HR professionals in other Huber businesses and Corporate Human Resources staff on employee programs, employee transfers, and other HR issues as needed.
  • Ensures efficient management of human capital assets by assisting in the design and implementation of short-to-long range plans to resolve key business issues.
  • Ensures world-class, enterprise-wide human resource processes and systems by serving on corporate project teams.
  • Effectively implements appropriate HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Stays abreast of labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices, partnering with legal counsel to address employment-related legal issues.
  • Ensures that Human Resource compliance systems support the strategic business goals in the areas of performance management and development, rewards and recognition, employee relations, work environment, communications, and staffing by working closely with the Talent acquisition team.
  • Provides expertise in immigration administration, compliance, and relocation as needed.
  • Completes the onboarding process and administration activities for new hires and exiting employees.
  • Addresses and resolves employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • Effectively works through others to accomplish objectives and fulfill responsibilities; transmits ideas, instructions, and information clearly.
  • Develops the objectives, Human Resource processes, and action plans to implement short- and long-term business strategies.
  • Adjusts to shifting organizational priorities and objectives to quickly meet business needs.
  • Seeks and listens to feedback from others and uses it for constructive purposes.
  • Sees the long-range implications of decisions and develops short-term tactics in light of political, economic, and technological trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years proven experience as an HR Generalist with diversified, progressive experience in world-class manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Willingness and ability to handle tasks of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Desire to create a superior employee experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • International experience is a plus.
