Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all HR and Academic Personnel operations for the Department of Internal Medicine.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Administrative Officer on departmental leadership and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee employee relations, talent management, benefits administration, and compensation/classification.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term HR goals and plans.
  • Provide consultation and support to leadership and staff on HR-related issues.
  • Manage conflict resolution and organizational development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
  • Solid experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Experience in HR with employee and labor relations, talent management, and benefits administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal labor and employment laws.
  • Exceptional analytical, administrative, and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/Payroll systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SPHR certification(s).
  • Experience managing Academic Personnel.
  • Experience in writing and implementing HR policies.
  • Coaching experience for managers and staff in personal and leadership development.
  • Experience in a healthcare institution or similar complex organization.
