About the position

The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the human resources management functions within an agency, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. This role involves planning and implementing HR programs related to recruitment, classification, salary administration, employee evaluation, and employee relations. The supervisor provides expert advice and supervises professional staff, contributing to the enhancement of statewide HR programs.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for overall human resources management responsibility in an agency or as deputy to the Human Resources Director in a large agency.
• Plan and implement agency human resources programs and procedures within statewide policies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state laws in HR practices.
• Provide expert advice on HR programs and procedures to agency staff.
• Supervise professional and vocational level positions.
• Work on project teams to enhance statewide HR programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in human resources management.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
