About the position

The Human Resources Support position at Rose International is a temporary role designed to deliver HR services and enhance organizational performance through effective collaboration with individuals and managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of HR practices across the employee lifecycle, ensuring that HR delivery aligns with the needs of the business. This role requires a proactive approach to resolving Employee Relations (ER) issues, where the HR specialist will partner with business managers to assess risks and take appropriate actions. The position also involves working closely with Human Resource Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to prioritize HR initiatives and ensure the effective delivery of HR solutions to client populations. In this role, the HR specialist will be expected to handle escalated client and employee issues with urgency, ensuring that employment policies and practices are interpreted consistently. The ability to resolve complex HR issues, often in collaboration with managers, is crucial. The HR specialist will also assist with larger or more challenging employee populations and participate in cross-projects, demonstrating a capacity to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Independence of judgment and autonomy are essential traits for this position, as the specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members. Moreover, the HR specialist will be responsible for assessing risks associated with business decisions, particularly in relation to the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes adhering to company policies and applying sound judgment regarding personal conduct and business practices. The role emphasizes transparency in managing and reporting control issues, ensuring that all actions align with the organization's values and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance through individuals and managers.
  • Responsible for HR delivery and implementation across the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with business managers to resolve Employee Relations (ER) issues, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and risks are assessed.
  • Collaborate with Human Resource Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) on HR priorities in respective client populations.
  • Ensure escalated client/employee issues are resolved with urgency and employment policies and practices are interpreted consistently.
  • Work with all stakeholders, including HRA, manager, employee, Employee Relations (ER), and Legal, to build and maintain partnerships.
  • Resolve difficult HR issues conferring with managers when necessary.
  • Assist larger or more difficult employee populations and participate in cross-projects.
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five to eight years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of applicable Employment laws.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
