About the position

The Human Resources Support Analyst (Technical Manager IV) position at the Illinois Department of Transportation is responsible for coordinating activities that enhance the bureau's technology applications, focusing on improved decision-making, data retrieval, and document management. This role involves oversight of human resources automated applications, ensuring data integrity, compliance with standards, and providing exceptional support to users. The analyst will also conduct research to implement automation changes and improve personnel services within the bureau.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with functional and technical staff to support and maintain all human resources applications.
  • Conduct special projects and research of IDOT and BPM operational procedures and personnel administration programs.
  • Manage permissions for human resources applications, including conducting reviews of access permissions for audit compliance.
  • Assist users with application-related issues and submit IT support tickets as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance for agency use of BPM owned applications and SharePoint Online sites.
  • Prepare and maintain reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools, including ad hoc reports and standard reports.

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in business management, public administration, human resources, or project management plus two years of relevant experience, OR eight years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Experience working with human resources applications, web applications, end user support, and project management related to data and reporting.
