About the position

The Human Resources Support & Benefits Coordinator at Canvas Health is responsible for performing a variety of confidential, administrative, and clerical tasks to support the overall operations of the Human Resources Department. This role includes benefit coordination, maintaining and tracking COBRA events, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations, as well as administering and tracking Workers Compensation and compliance reports. The coordinator will also assist with benefits administration and communicate with employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform benefit coordination including all processes related to employee benefits enrollment.
  • Maintain and track COBRA events, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Administer and track Workers Compensation and OSHA 300 reporting.
  • Maintain departmental records and files.
  • Assist with benefits administration and communicate with employees to answer benefits-related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of benefits administration experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of administrative support experience.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of benefits terminology and coverages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience using Paycom (HRIS).
