About the position

The Human Resources Support Center Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Employment Support Center by providing timely and effective resolutions to inquiries. This position involves analyzing, designing, testing, and implementing processes that enhance employee and organizational experiences while ensuring compliance with HR regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with HR Compliance maintenance of all licenses/certifications/permits at Northwell Health.
  • Leverages key reports to identify credentials required for roles.
  • Tracks renewal reminder processes for leaders, team members, and People leader partners.
  • Assists in cleaning up discrepancies in the credentialing system, including incorrect license numbers and invalid data.
  • Tracks the component of the pay addition process.
  • Tracks the manual primary source verification process.
  • Addresses requests for Employee Verification information within established timeframes.
  • Utilizes databases like MyExperience, Kronos, PeopleSoft, and Perceptive to provide employee verification information.
  • Interfaces with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of contracted services.
  • Partners with the ACC to source documents for responding to Unemployment claims.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and leaders to gather information for contesting claims.
  • Assigns first-hand witnesses for scheduled Unemployment Claims hearings.
  • Seeks guidance and escalates issues as needed.
  • Follows established guidelines and procedures.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 0-1 years of relevant HR experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook preferred.
