About the position

The Human Resources Support Coordinator (HRSC) is an in-office position, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm that provides administrative support in the areas of onboarding, training, and personnel administration. The individual in this position must possess a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company and develop a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of documentation and pre-hire checks required to assemble and track new hire folders.
  • Maintain personnel and medical records (filing, annual compliance, audits, etc.) through the HRIS system (ADP).
  • Maintain all HHA training program schedules and assist with maintaining the HHA training program as needed.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly small group new hire orientation sessions.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and compile necessary teaching materials for training sessions.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department (HR, Payroll and HACNY), as deemed necessary by the Director of HR.
  • Assist with managing telephone calls and emails to the HR department (HR and Payroll), directing calls to the appropriate person.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments (retention/staff interviews, in-service meetings, etc.).
  • Assist with processing personal record changes on employee intranet.
  • Provide back-up support to conduct reference calls on prospective employees.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders inside and outside of the agency.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 3-5 years of related experience required. Associates degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must be reliable, organized, and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Excellent communication and telephone skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Capable of maintaining integrity and trustworthiness in preserving confidential information.
  • Computer knowledge required (Microsoft Office Suite, HRMS).
  • ATS & HRIS systems knowledge a plus.
