About the position

The Human Resources Support position at Sierra Pacific Industries involves providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department at the Eugene Sawmill. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Effectively manage payroll processes, recordkeeping, and documentation for hourly personnel.
  • Recruit, screen, reference check, and evaluate qualified applicants.
  • Interact in a friendly and professional manner with the public and potential job applicants.
  • Assist with various Human Resources functions for hourly personnel.
  • Communicate Company policies and benefit information appropriately.
  • Audit, monitor, and implement Company HR policies, maintain records, and represent the Company.
  • Assist in developing and distributing employee communications.
  • Use critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with minimal supervision.
  • Work efficiently to meet established deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential information effectively and discretely.
  • Assist with office clerical duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years recent and progressive office admin work, or education equivalent.
  • Prior Human Resources and/or payroll experience desired.
  • Experience working independently, discretely, and in managing confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, with demonstrated ability to adapt and prioritize quickly.
