About the position

The Human Resources Support position involves providing administrative assistance to the Human Resources Department, managing payroll processes, and supporting recruitment efforts. The role requires effective communication with the public and potential job applicants, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. The candidate will also assist in developing employee communications and ensure compliance with company HR policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department
  • Manage payroll processes, recordkeeping, and documentation for hourly personnel
  • Recruit, screen, reference check, and evaluate qualified applicants
  • Interact in a friendly and professional manner with the public and potential job applicants
  • Assist with various Human Resources functions for hourly personnel
  • Communicate Company policies and benefit information
  • Audit, monitor, and implement Company HR policies, maintain records, and represent the Company
  • Assist in developing and distributing employee communications
  • Use critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with minimal supervision
  • Work efficiently to meet established deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential information discreetly
  • Assist with office clerical duties as needed

Requirements

  • 2 years recent and progressive office admin work, or education equivalent
  • Prior Human Resources and/or payroll experience desired
  • Experience working independently and managing confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to adapt and prioritize quickly
