About the position

The Talent Acquisition Intern at S&C Electric Company plays a vital role in supporting the HR function by assisting with the administration of Talent Acquisition programs and outreach. This part-time position is designed for undergraduates or master's students who are passionate about HR and eager to learn about community outreach and university programs. The intern will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to help attract and source talent from diverse populations and communities, contributing to the company's mission of building a strong workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to build and manage relationships and assist with the execution of community outreach programs.
  • Assist with the internal and external communication, promotion, and outreach of the TA programs.
  • Schedule outreach meetings with high schools, universities, associations.
  • Track professional Association relationships with respect to our Talent Management objectives.
  • Research to identify how to best partner with targeted local community organizations in S&C communities.
  • Assist with the creation of internal communication regarding program process, participation, and deadlines to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of S&C Intern/Co-Op program participants.
  • Organize and assist in the planning and execution of onsite and virtual job fairs.
  • Support S&C Onboarding program facilitation.
  • Assist with recruitment of all hourly and production roles.
  • Additional TA duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduates or master's students working towards a degree in a related discipline (HR, Communications, Community Outreach) and returning to school upon completion of internship/co-op.
  • Graduation Date of Winter 2025 or beyond.
  • Charismatic, people person who is comfortable and enjoys engaging the public at large.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid work setting.
  • Able to commute to S&C's HQ located in Rogers Park, Chicago, IL.
  • Able to begin Part-Time in Fall/Winter 2024 and work Full-Time in Summer 2025.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills, Power Point, Word, and Excel.
  • Interest and aptitude for public speaking.
  • Ability to pick up new systems and learning new tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in a related field a plus.
