The Summer Internship Program at Cardinal Health provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful, business-essential projects that will equip them with hands-on experience necessary for building a solid foundation for their future careers. This program specifically targets students who are between their junior and senior years, serving as a pipeline for potential full-time employment. Interns will participate in a structured program designed to enhance their understanding of Cardinal Health and the healthcare industry while developing essential leadership skills. Upon successful completion of the internship, students will have the opportunity to interview for full-time positions within the company. Interns will be based in Dublin, Ohio, with the option to work remotely. The internship is expected to start on either May 19 or May 27, 2025, and will require approximately 40 hours of work per week for a minimum of 10 weeks. For students who are not local to the internship location, assistance with temporary housing will be provided. Throughout the internship, participants will work closely with Cardinal Health professionals, business partners, customers, and vendors on impactful projects, in addition to their daily responsibilities. To foster leadership skills, each intern will also take part in an intern planning committee and will present their work to business leaders at the end of the summer. The program includes networking opportunities with key business leaders through an “Executive Speaker Series” and various formal and informal networking events. Cardinal Health is committed to maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Interns will have access to seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that provide a platform for sharing interests and ideas, enhancing engagement with the global customer base and workforce. The internship also emphasizes professional development through a formal one-on-one mentoring program, workshops to enhance business acumen, and exploration of full-time career paths. Social, team-building, and community service events are organized to help interns build a strong network of peers.
