About the position

The Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist position is a critical role within Olin's Corporate Talent Acquisition and Compliance team, located in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for engaging in the full talent acquisition cycle, which includes sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees. The specialist will work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and hiring managers to fill key roles with top talent, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle. The role also emphasizes improving applicant flow and diversity outreach efforts, aligning with Olin's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. In this position, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the maintenance of the applicant tracking system and job files, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and accurate. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for the Affirmative Action data roll-up for external hires and internal competitive moves within assigned areas. The role includes partnering with the Talent Acquisition team for on-campus recruiting efforts and managing the intern and co-op processes, which involves effective communication and engagement with leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources or talent acquisition, particularly within a manufacturing or industrial environment. They will possess excellent client relationship skills, enabling them to forge strong connections with both internal and external partners. The position requires the ability to handle competing priorities and multi-task efficiently, as well as a valid US driver's license and a willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HRBPs and hiring managers to source for and fill key roles with top talent.
  • Oversee the entire recruiting lifecycle with a focus on creating a positive candidate experience.
  • Build qualified and diverse candidate pipelines with a focus on consistent long-term engagement.
  • Ensure the applicant tracking system and job files are maintained correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for Affirmative Action data roll-up for external hires and internal competitive moves for assigned areas.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team for on-campus recruiting efforts and manage assigned area intern/co-op processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Organizational Development/Management, Employment Law, or Business-related discipline.
  • 3+ years related human resources generalist or talent acquisition experience.
  • Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred.
  • Excellent client relationship skills, able to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and multi-task efficiently.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 15% of time.
