The Human Resources Technical Specialist (HRTS) position at the Iowa Department of Administrative Services is a full-time role focused on supporting the administration of critical benefits programs. Responsibilities

  • Process transactions and conduct audits within the Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS), particularly in medical and dental benefits.
  • Manage distribution lists, approve distributions, and gather data for the annual review of deferred compensation programs.
  • Assist in coordinating Service Award Certificates and the One-Gift donation campaign.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Benefits team to ensure timely and accurate administration of employee benefits.

Requirements

  • Administrative experience
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with relevant experience
  • 1 year of experience in a human-resources-related program area
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability to manage changing priorities and high volumes of work.
