About the position

The Human Resources Training Specialist at Graceworks Lutheran Services is responsible for coordinating and delivering training programs for new employees and ongoing staff development. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with regulatory training requirements while fostering a supportive learning environment that aligns with the organization's mission to serve older adults and individuals with disabilities. The specialist will work primarily at the Bethany Village Campus and the Enhanced Living Office, delivering both online and in-person training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver online and live New Employee Orientation, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and deliver online and live Annual Mandatory training, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Obtain certification and deliver CPR and 1st Aid training.
  • Develop and deliver other training as needed, such as leadership development or effective communication.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records of training activities.
  • Work with business leaders to determine training needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Make changes and/or develop training to meet organizational needs.
  • Assist with other HR functions as a member of the Human Resources team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs using various methodologies.
  • Prior experience in training preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort presenting in front of diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service orientation with patience for learners of varying computer literacy and English skills.
  • Must have or obtain CPR / 1st aid trainer certification within 30 days.
