About the position

The Human Services Program Manager in the Children and Family Services area will oversee the Administrative and Facilitation program, providing leadership and management to various units including Family Group Decision Making, systems/technology operations, and workforce development. This role emphasizes collaboration across the service continuum in CFS and requires strong leadership skills to manage a diverse team of professionals. The position is hybrid, allowing for both on-site and remote work, and involves planning, organizing, and evaluating program operations to meet legislative expectations and improve service outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the overall operation of the Administrative and Facilitation area.
  • Collaborate with other program managers to identify service needs and program improvements.
  • Develop resources and plans to meet identified needs and evaluate service/program outcomes.
  • Manage transformation efforts to meet legislative expectations.
  • Establish standards for quality of work and evaluate employee performance.
  • Aid unit supervisors in resolving employee discipline and supervisory issues.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with other departments, public and private agencies, and community groups.
  • Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission, and core values for diversity, equity & inclusion.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills in a human services context.
  • Experience in program management and evaluation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legislative expectations related to human services.
  • Experience in workforce development and service coordination.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) processes.
  • Familiarity with systems and technology operations in human services.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and consensus building.
