About the position

The Talent Acquisitions Department at Bay State Community Services is seeking a dynamic and energetic Human Services Recruiter to join our team in Braintree, MA. This full-time position is crucial for sourcing, screening, and hiring the best candidates for various job openings throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing our recruitment efforts and ensuring that we attract top talent to support our mission in the human services sector. As a Human Services Recruiter, you will be responsible for utilizing various channels to source potential candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals. You will screen resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates based on job requirements and qualifications. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with hiring managers and other human resource staff during the offer process to verify start dates and complete reference checks. Additionally, you will represent the organization at college job fairs and recruiting sessions, promoting our employment opportunities to prospective candidates. Compliance is a critical aspect of the recruitment process, and you will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies. Your proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills will be vital in executing effective sourcing strategies for a variety of roles within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Source potential candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates based on job requirements and qualifications.
  • Collaborate with the organization's hiring managers and/or other human resource staff during the offer process to verify start dates and complete reference checks.
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • At least three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to execute sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience utilizing social media for direct candidate searches and networking.
  • Experience with Paylocity a plus.
