About the position

The Human Trafficking Case Manager/Advocate at Family and Community Resources, Inc. is responsible for providing a continuum of survivor-centered services to individuals affected by human trafficking. This role emphasizes crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, housing assistance, and advocacy, ensuring that survivors receive the support they need to navigate their challenges. The position requires flexibility, including two early evenings per week and occasional weekend hours, to accommodate the needs of survivors and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning for survivors of human trafficking.
  • Manage cases and provide housing assistance to survivors.
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of survivors within the community.
  • Collaborate with child protection and criminal justice agencies as needed.
  • Maintain excellent communication with survivors, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience working with survivors of trauma and domestic violence.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and empowerment/survivor-centered models.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid MA driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with child protection and criminal justice agencies.
