About the position

Join our team as a HUMINT Specialist and support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) by designing and implementing historical exhibits that highlight the role of Human Intelligence (HUMINT) in national security. This position requires extensive research on HUMINT activities, collaboration with subject matter experts, and the creation of educational materials for both internal and public audiences. The specialist ensures historical accuracy and adherence to DIA standards while producing content that enhances the understanding of HUMINT's significance in protecting the U.S. and its allies.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing historical exhibits focusing on the role and impact of HUMINT within the DIA and broader intelligence community
  • Conducting thorough research using various sources to gather accurate historical data on HUMINT activities
  • Documenting findings clearly and concisely for both internal use and public display
  • Developing materials and presentations that enhance understanding of HUMINT's historical and current role in national security
  • Working closely with historians, technical editors, and other SMEs to ensure historical accuracy and effective communication of content
  • Ensuring all content meets the DIA's standards for accuracy and classification compliance
  • Reviewing materials for historical accuracy and adherence to established guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with CI poly
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in intelligence, specifically in HUMINT operations, with a strong foundation in historical research, exhibit design, or educational outreach
  • Expert knowledge of historical and contemporary HUMINT practices
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into accessible educational formats
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content management systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
