About the position

The Hunting Sales Associate at Sportsman's Warehouse is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the hunting department. This role involves greeting customers, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring a clean and organized department. The associate will assist with merchandise processing and replenishment while adhering to all safety and legal standards related to firearm transactions.

Responsibilities

• Approach each customer using the 5 non-negotiable Friedman Sales Training Steps.
• Keep the department clean, faced, and straight at all times.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of form 4473.
• Ensure accuracy when completing the employee portion of form 4473.
• Review and ensure accuracy on the customer portion of form 4473.
• Ensure security of the hunting department, including the gun counter and firearm rooms.
• Ensure all ATF standards are met for all firearm transactions.
• Communicate customer requests to management.
• Perform other tasks as necessary and assigned by management, which may include assisting in other departments.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work closely with customers and co-workers is required.
• A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma is recommended.
• Sales training provided by Sportsman's Warehouse is required.
