About the position

The HVAC Account Manager is responsible for developing new clients and business opportunities within designated vertical markets and geographic regions. This role involves collaboration with various departments to manage estimating work, writing proposals, and overseeing work orders and service agreements. The Account Manager will also generate leads for larger projects and analyze potential sales opportunities to align with the company's capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Pursues the development of new clients and business opportunities within directed vertical markets and geographic regions.
  • Handles estimating work, writing proposals, managing vendors, managing contracts, and overseeing work orders and service agreements in collaboration with Sales, Administrative, and Field Operations Management.
  • Generates leads for larger retrofit or modernization projects, working with Sales Management and Project Managers.
  • Analyzes the scope, complexity, schedule, and resource requirements of potential sales opportunities.
  • Schedules and conducts customer visits with new and existing customers.
  • Participates in job walks, building surveys, and client/job site visits.
  • Builds strong relationships internally with customers and externally across the organization.
  • Maintains customer activity in the Company's CRM systems.
  • Participates in contract and work-in-progress (WIP) review meetings.
  • Represents the Company at designated industry and social events.
  • Collaborates with Service Administrative and Field Operations throughout the contract lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in facility services or specialty MEP contracting, with design, sales, or project management experience.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management preferred; MBA or Masters level degree and/or a current licensed PE are notable strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and task management skills.
