About the position

This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to jumpstart their career in the HVAC industry. The technician in this role will perform field activities associated with supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for commercial customers. The position involves assisting with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation. Technicians will utilize their technical abilities to maintain systems effectively and work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction. Safety is paramount, and technicians must work in a safe manner daily, ensuring that all safety measures are adhered to at all times. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and flexibility to work overtime, on-call, and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation.
  • Utilize technical abilities to maintain HVAC systems.
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
  • Adhere to safety measures and work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and excellent attendance.
  • 1+ years in a mechanical support role, with some hands-on HVAC experience preferred.
  • EPA Certification- Type I & Type II or Universal preferred.
  • NATE certification is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Moderate lifting capability (up to 90 pounds).
  • Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork.
  • Ability to work independently and self-schedule.
  • Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
  • Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Periodically 'on call' for service coverage.
  • Willingness to relocate to another part of the country once training is completed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in HVAC work.
