About the position

As a CBRE HVAC Mobile Building Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This role involves extensive travel within the Mountain View, CA area and requires living within a designated radius of the job site to ensure reliable work schedules. You will oversee maintenance and repairs to various systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility.
• Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
• Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
• Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of job discipline and related fields.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Work to build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven HVAC experience; minimum of four years.
• Previous experience as a Building Engineer is a plus.
• Mobile maintenance experience highly preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
