About the position

The HVAC/EPA Certified Maintenance Technician position involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks primarily focused on HVAC systems within apartment complexes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and complete service requests efficiently. This role requires attention to detail and the capability to follow directions closely, ensuring that all service requests are handled promptly and effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for completing and troubleshooting common apartment service requests, which may include light plumbing and electrical work, HVAC and boiler maintenance, and general repairs such as changing light bulbs and locks. You will also be expected to install and repair appliances, perform exterior and interior painting and caulking, and conduct light drywall repairs. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the grounds, which includes pressure washing, groundskeeping, and leaf blowing of breezeways and parking lots. The job offers various employment types, including temporary, temp-to-perm, and direct hire positions, providing flexibility for candidates. Responsibilities

  • Complete and troubleshoot common apartment service requests

Requirements

  • HVAC / EPA certification required
  • CPO License (Certified Pool Operator) preferred
  • Dependable transportation to and from work
  • Strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
  • Ability and desire to assist with other community projects
  • Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed
  • Own a set of basic hand tools (e.g., screwdriver, channel lock/pliers, wrenches)
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
