About the position

The HVAC Controls Project Manager at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of HVAC controls and energy-related projects. This role involves managing project tasks such as scoping, estimating, scheduling, project management, commissioning, and ensuring owner acceptance. The Project Manager will also handle financial forecasting and communication with project teams and clients throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage the successful completion of HVAC controls and energy-related projects.
• Perform scoping of work, estimating, scheduling, project management, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Provide technical support for the sale of building controls and energy projects.
• Review specifications, submittals, and design documents to develop a complete scope of work.
• Evaluate the contractual scope of work and communicate technical and business-related issues with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent work experience in electrical/mechanical building systems and project management duties.
• A track record of delivering controls projects on time and on budget.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• United States Green Building Council (USGBC) certification.
• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
