About the position

The HVAC Field Lead at HealthTrust Facilities Management is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial HVAC systems in various healthcare settings. This role involves troubleshooting, servicing equipment, and ensuring compliance with HCA Healthcare Engineering standards to maintain operational efficiency. The position also includes mentoring apprentices and maintaining accurate service records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chilled water and centralized air handling units through regularly scheduled preventative maintenance activities
• Perform coil cleanings, filter changes, test and balance activities, sensor calibrations, and UV bulb replacements
• Conduct belt alignments and replacements, drain pan treatments, damper calibration and repairs, and cleaning of AHU interiors
• Perform electrical safety inspections
• Lead apprentice level HVAC technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems
• Create cost and downtime estimates for major repairs and/or equipment replacement
• Perform work to the highest industry and manufacturer recommended standards
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local safety guidelines including lock-out/tag-out, OSHA, confined space, PPE, etc.
• Complete and document all work and labor time using HCA Healthcare Engineering's CMMS
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the hospital's Director of Facility Management about equipment conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two-year technical/vocational degree in HVAC/Journeyman status or 5+ years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment or a combination of experience and technical/vocational degree required
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required
• Valid Driver's License in good standing required
