About the position
E&J Comfort Systems LLC is looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join their team in Trumbull, CT. The role involves installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to residential HVAC systems, including gas, oil, heat pumps, and air conditioning units.
Responsibilities
- Serve existing and new accounts by analyzing work orders and investigating complaints.
- Conduct tests and resolve problems related to HVAC systems.
- Partner with dispatchers, technicians, and installers to provide excellent customer service.
- Establish service by studying system requirements and ordering necessary components and parts.
- Follow a daily travel schedule to meet customer needs.
- Document all actions by completing forms, logs, and records as outlined in department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in HVAC field service.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Proficiency in using an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair.
- Strong work ethic and professional standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to satisfy clients in a clean, efficient, and professional manner.
- 2+ years of residential HVAC Diagnostic Repair Service Technician experience.
- CT Occupational License S1, S2, D1, D2, SM1, SM2 (Preferred).
- OSHA 10 Card (Preferred).
- EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal Certification (Preferred).
- Must have an insurable driving record and valid driver license.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in English.
Nice-to-haves
- CT Occupational License S1, S2, D1, D2, SM1, SM2
- OSHA 10 Card
- EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal Certification
